Reclaim Pride Bergen is an independent queer festival that focuses on anti-capitalism and anti-racism. In June 2023, Reclaim Pride invited Bergen for the first time to a week-long reminder of queer battles that have been held and that still are ongoing.

Reclaim Pride Norway is a national movement of teams in Bergen, Oslo and Trondheim. Here in Bergen, RP consists of and for committed activists and grassroots organizations who aim to highlight queer and trans people – and their past and the present struggle for belonging, participation and voice in the public exchange of words.
Our vision is to establish Reclaim Pride Bergen as an annual meeting point with a clear anti-racist, anti-capitalist vision of pride. This is to give queers and trans people with different backgrounds and experiences an opportunity to experience community, find a network and formulate themselves and their needs in safe rooms. We want to give space for queer and transgender people to share their stories, music and art to give a deeper and more nuanced look to those who want to take part.

Reclaim Pride Bergen’s contributors are well-known and unknown names who, in their own way, contribute to promoting queer and trans people’s rights. The festival is organized by activists and organizations on a voluntary basis.

RPB Statement

No terfs, no swerfs, no cops 

We want to create a queer, anti-capitalism, anti-racist, sex worker friendly, trans-inclusive solidarity space. No human is illegal, sex work is real work, no pride in parades that includes cops and the military, no terfs, and no sponsorship for good optics and pinkwashing of our queer struggles. 

Reclaim pride Bergen is not only a safe space but a brave space where no questions are dumb.

Mistakes are allowed and welcome. Reclaim Pride Bergen is where we strive to improve, grow and learn together.

The spaces we create are not spaces for everyone. Pride is not for everybody. People with ties from the alt-right are not welcome. We do not welcome transphobes, racists, homophobes, anti-sex work-ers, cops and people who willingly collaborate with cops. We do not welcome people who are ableist, sexist, or fatphobic.
